The VDLS – Visual Drone Localization Solution is a Software Application which uses a drones camera feed to calculate the current position of the drone inside an area which is equipped with specified Tags. The Software runs on Android devices with Android 7.1 or higher. The solution supports DJI drones, specifically the DJI Mavic 2, DJI Mavic 2 Zoom, DJI Mavic Pro, DJI Mavic Mini and DJI Mavic Air. The Android device has to be connected to the DJI remote controller or the DJI Smart Controller is used, the App can run directly on the device. The position is calculated on the Android device. The Solution allows a route planning. The position of the Tags need to be provided to the App to function.
